Putting an infrared heater in a bathroom is a great call, but let’s be honest: it’s a risky spot. You’ve got steam, splashes, and constant humidity. If you just throw a standard heater in there, you’re asking for trouble. To actually keep things safe and stop electricity from leaking where it shouldn’t, you need more than just a basic case. The deal with IP65 You’ll see “IP65” on the spec sheet. In plain English? It means the unit can handle dust and a decent spray of water without flinching. But here’s the real problem: condensation. Steam is sneaky. It finds the tiniest gaps and builds “bridges” of water between the live heating element and the metal housing. To stop that, we use heavy-duty gaskets and a kind of waterproof “glue” (potting compounds) wherever wires enter the box. If those seals fail, the moisture gets in, and the circuit shorts.
