It finds the tiniest gaps and builds &amp;ldquo;bridges&amp;rdquo; of water between the live heating element and the metal housing. To stop that, we use heavy-duty gaskets and a kind of waterproof &amp;ldquo;glue&amp;rdquo; (potting compounds) wherever wires enter the box.
